Married a nice couple down by the river at the Conservation Area on 6/19 just before leaving for vacation. Congrats B & D!
Hudson, NH
Married a wonderful couple with a Lite Wedding Ceremony at their home in Hudson in front of about 20 family and friends on Wednesday morning. Congratulations Alex & Jennifer!
Three Chimneys Inn, Durham, NH
Performed a Custom Christian Themed Wedding Ceremony for a fantastic couple at the Inn on Saturday afternoon. The ceremony featured a Unity Tree Ceremony, where the Bride and Groom’s moms participated by adding soil to a pot that the bridal couple used to ceremonially plant their unity tree. As they planted the tree this reading, called ‘Tree of Love’ by Sandra E. McBride, was performed:
“From the seed of this day let their love grow as the tree grows. Reaching down, to build strong roots. Reaching out to provide comfort and sustenance. Reaching up, to seek the grace of God. Let their love grow as the tree grows. Deeper, wider, stronger with each passing year.”
The weather was beautiful for the ceremony which was coordinated perfectly, as usual, by the wedding coordinator Kelsey. Colors were dusty blue and gold. All the Best Michael & Justina!
Wason Pond, Chester, NH
Presided as JP for a Lite Elopement Wedding Ceremony for a nice couple at Wason Pond this past Saturday afternoon. The weather was perfect! Congratulations K & B!
Nubble Lighthouse, York, Maine
Presided as Minister for a Classic Spiritual Ceremony with custom vows for a great couple at the Light this past Sunday morning. Although it was supposed to be a hot day, it was comfortably cool courtesy of the Maine sea breezes providing heat relief. About 20 were in attendance. The Nubble Light has a few larger rocks that the bridal couple and I can step out onto for the ceremony while the guests stay closer to the “mainland.” And that was the case on Sunday as we found the perfect boulder for the couple, their children, and me to stand on for the ceremony. One tip… If you’re thinking of getting married at Nubble Light in summer, the parking can be difficult. What my couple did was make reservations at Fox’s Lobster House restaurant (located right next to Nubble’s public parking area) for immediately after the ceremony. They were then able to use the restaurant’s parking lot and avoid the parking headaches for themselves and their guests. All the best Doug & Michelle!
Wedgewood Granite Rose, Hampstead NH
Presided as JP for two weddings here this past weekend. The first was a Saturday evening spiritual ceremony for a great couple. The ceremony included a reading by the bride’s sister. About 100 were in attendance. The ceremony was scheduled to be outdoors, but that plan was interrupted by Mother Nature as a thunderstorm passed through at the time of the ceremony and a decision was made to move it indoors. Colors were light purple, blue, and cream. Congratulations Sean & Sarah!
The second ceremony occurred on Sunday evening for a wonderful couple in front of about 75 guests. This time, luckily, the weather held, and we were able to have the wedding outside. This ceremony featured a fantastic harpist who played prelude, processional, recessional, and postlude tunes. Colors were blush and navy. All the best Paul & Brittany!
Fort McClary, Kittery, Maine
Presided as Minister for a Catholic Themed Wedding Ceremony at Fort McClary last Sunday. The couple wrote their own vows, and their best man delivered a reading from Corinthians. The weather cooperated (sort of). It was a cold, damp, windy day, but the heavier rain held off until after the ceremony was completed. Color was red. Best Wishes Leo & Dianne!
Fort Rock Farm, Exeter, NH
Performed a Classic Wedding Ceremony for a great couple at Fort Rock Farm last Saturday. This is a couple I had married in a smaller ceremony last year during the height of the pandemic, now having a full-fledged celebration! The weather was a bit nasty, so the ceremony took place inside the site’s barn. Color was maroon. Congrats again, Mark & Lauren!
