Portsmouth Elks Lodge, Portsmouth, NH

Performed a beautiful Custom Spiritual Wedding Ceremony for a wonderful couple and their children at the Elks on Sunday. The ceremony featured a Sand Ceremony with each of the children having a separate vile of sand that they combined by pouring into the main vessel with the bride and groom. The couple also read poems to each other. You can see those below. Colors were light blue and beige. Best wishes Chad, Lorrie, and kids!

These I can Promise

I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;

I cannot promise riches, wealth, or gold;

I cannot promise you an easy pathway

That leads away from change or growing old.

But I can promise all my heart’s devotion;

A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;

A love that’s ever true and ever growing;

A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.

Yes, I’ll Marry You.

To My Bride

To my Bride, I give you my heart,

sharing love each day from the very start.

To my Bride, I give you my kiss,

filling each day with joy and bliss.

To my Bride, I give you my being,

to love, to play, to work, and to sing.

To my Bride, I give you my mind,

learning each day to be more kind.

To my Bride, I give you my soul,

growing together to be more whole.

To my Bride, I give you my life,

Rejoicing each day you are my wife.

Bedford Village Inn (The Grand), Bedford, NH

Wed a nice couple in a Classic Wedding Ceremony at the Inn on Sunday. The wedding featured a Sand Ceremony. Here are the words we used…

Byron and Jennifer, you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings.

And this covenant is a relationship pledge between two people who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives.

The most beautiful example of this partnership is the marriage relationship. You have committed here today to share the rest of your lives with each other.

Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of Sand into one.

One container representing you, Byron, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Jennifer, and all that you were, and all that you are, and all that you will ever be.

As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of Sand will no longer exist.

Byron & Jennifer, please pour your individual containers of Sand into the third container.

Jennifer & Byron, just as these grains of Sand can never be separated and poured again into their individual containers, so will your marriage be.

The wedding color was silver. Congratulations, Byron & Jennifer!

Andover Country Club, Andover, MA

Performed a Classic Wedding Ceremony for a wonderful couple in front of about 75 family and friends outside at the Andover Country Club on Saturday. It was the first wedding I’ve ever done there, and it was great. The weather cooperated, as we got a great break from the oppressive heat and humidity that had plagued us for the past week. The color was aqua. All the Best, Derek & Marianna!

Great Island Common, New Castle, NH

Portsmouth, NH

Performed a Classic Wedding Ceremony for a fantastic couple at a private residence in Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon. There were about 80 guests in attendance. It was hot and humid, but the sea breeze made it very pleasant for a wedding! Congrats Charlie & Robin!

Exeter, NH

The McDonnell Conservation Area was the site for a Lite Wedding Ceremony on Saturday afternoon. The couple brought about 15 guests with them to help them celebrate! We abandoned the site where I usually perform ceremonies here because the recent rains had caused a rise in the river enough to cover the spot. But, fear not, the couple found another great spot they liked! Best Wishes, Aaron & Tammy!
