Wentworth By The Sea Country Club was the scene for a great wedding I presided over this past Saturday. This was probably the hottest weather I’ve performed a ceremony in this year. All of the guests had fans (always a good idea in summer when your ceremony is going to be in the sun). At the country club you can usually count on a sea breeze to keep things a bit cooler, but that was not the case this day. No matter! It was a wonderful time, and the couple enjoyed their “day in the sun” so to speak! Congrats to Shannon & Mike!
Pawtuckaway State Park, Nottingham, NH
Performed a wedding that featured a handfasting ceremony this past Saturday at Pawtuckaway State Park. The handfasting involved four ribbons of different colors and materials that were draped, one at a time, over the couple’s hands as they proclaimed their love for one another. A great ceremony! Best Wishes to Jessica & Matthew!
Three Chimneys Inn
Performed a ceremony at Three Chimneys Inn this past Friday which featured a canine ring bearer! Kenny, a border collie, carried the couple’s rings around his neck in the processional. When it came time for the ring ceremony, I literally asked Kenny for the rings… “Kenny, may I have the rings” at which time the Groom removed the rings from Kenny’s neck and the couple proceeded to the exchange. Kenny did great. I love it when well-behaved pets are part of a wedding ceremony – after all, they are an important part of the family, so they should be there for the important parts of the family’s life. Congratulations Natalie & Terrence!
Hale Memorial Park, Newburyport
This was my first time performing a ceremony at Hale Memorial Park. It’s a great place, and I’ll be recommending it to couples in the future. The couple had set up a poster board with highlights of their lives leading up to their big day. They were married in front of the fountain that graces the park. Congratulations Crystal & Mark!
Great Island Common
What a great day it was for a wedding at Great Island Common in New Castle, NH this past Saturday. The couple decided to get married in the southeast corner of the park (which I think is the most picturesque). I married the couple with the surf up, and whitecaps galore in the background! All the best to Steve & Lexi!
Three Chimneys Inn
Performed a ceremony and provided music and voice amplification for a wonderful couple at TCI this past Friday. The Bride’s Processional Song was Yellow by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Bridesmaids came down to an instrumental version of Halo by Aston, and the Recessional Song was Home by Phillip Phillips. It was a beautiful evening for a wedding with clear skies, comfortable temps, and very low humidity. Congratulations Mike & Jen!
Jenness Beach
Performed a vow renewal for a great couple married 20 years on Jenness Beach in Rye last Wednesday evening. They used the original unity candle from their wedding. Best wishes on your 20th Alan & Robin!
