Performed a Classic Wedding Ceremony for a wonderful couple in front of about 15 guests at Four Tree Island on Tuesday, afternoon. The couple wrote their own vows and also recited traditional vows. The color was gold. The weather was uncooperative, as a downpour happened just before the ceremony was to begin. Luckily, Four Tree Island has a great Gazebo, and the marriage ceremony took place there, keeping all nice and dry. An unexpected, but really great bonus happened during the ceremony as a rainbow formed just behind the couple and provided the perfect background for their wedding pictures! Performed a Custom Wedding Ceremony for a nice couple at the Rose on Thursday afternoon. The ceremony featured two readings by family members. About 100 were in attendance. Colors were eucalyptus, hunter green, blue, and purple. Best of luck Kenny & Theresa!

Presided over an elopement ceremony for a delightful couple at the Conservation Area last Friday. The weather was beautiful, and the river was running fast, making for some nice photos. Congrats J & L!

Married a wonderful couple with a Classic Wedding Ceremony this past Thursday at the Rose. About 100 attended. One of the great things about this ceremony was the Unity Shot Ritual. I’ve done over a thousand weddings and, although I’ve done many Unity Rituals (candles, sand, etc.), I’ve never had a couple use a rum shot. Wine, yes, beer, yes, but a shot of rum – never. It was very cool, and the guests really enjoyed it! The weather was great. The colors were navy blue, mauve, and tan. Congrats Andy & Shanice!

Presided over a Classic Wedding Ceremony for a wonderful couple at The Rose on Monday afternoon in front of about 40 guests. After the ceremony, the groom’s mom & dad spoke with me and reminded me that I had DJ’ed (yes, I was a DJ in a former life) their wedding ceremony back in 1999! That was quite a pleasant surprise. They also mentioned that I had done a fantastic job, which made our reunion even better! Unfortunately, the wedding had to be performed indoors because of rain, but it was an enjoyable ceremony regardless. Colors were maroon, burnt orange, dark green, dark blue, and beige. Performed a Classic Spiritual Wedding Ceremony for a fantastic couple at their home on Plum Island this past Saturday. About 30 guests were in attendance. There was one uninvited guest who attended – Hurricane Lee! But the wedding ceremony went off without a hitch as Lee was far enough away and the ceremony took place late enough in the day so the rain and wind weren’t that much of an issue. Presided over a Lite Wedding Ceremony for a great couple at New Castle Common on Thursday afternoon. As is often the case at Great Island Common, the weather was cooler, breezier, and more refreshing than it had been at my previous wedding just an hour before at Prescott Park. The ceremony took place under the big tree in the southeast corner of the Common. All the Best A & J!
