Three Chimneys Inn, Durham, NH

Performed a Spiritual Summer Wedding Ceremony for a wonderful couple at the Inn this past Sunday. The wedding featured a Sand Ceremony. The bride’s parents attended via webcam from Italy. Ah, the marvels of modern technology! About 55 were in attendance. Color was lavender. Buona fortuna Andrew & Valentina!

Brentwood, NH

Married a great couple with a Classic Spiritual Wedding Ceremony in front of about 40 family and friends at their home last Saturday. Colors were baby blue and lilac. Congratulations Jonathan & Margaret!

Wason Pond, Chester, NH

Presided over a Lite Wedding Ceremony for a nice couple at Wason Pond on Thursday morning. About 15 were in attendance. It was raining before we started the ceremony and the plan was to do the ceremony under the covered bridge, but it stopped just before we began, so we took it out into the open. Congratulations Steve & Donna!

Harborwalk Park, Portsmouth, NH & Nubble Light, York, Maine

Wait… you performed a ceremony in two different states for the same couple? How can that be? Well, sort of… It was two vow renewal ceremonies on Monday afternoon for a couple who are attempting to renew their vows in all 50 states, and I was in the unique position to be able to help them out with two of those states! This was one I couldn’t pass up since it’s a chance to be part of something very special, and probably something I’ll never have a chance to do again. And it was great! The weather was great, and I was honored to be a part of it. I asked the couple to keep me informed of their progress as they journey across the country. Best of luck Jay & Amy!

Hamilton House, South Berwick, Maine

Performed a custom wedding ceremony with a Jewish theme for a wonderful couple at the Hamilton House on Sunday afternoon. I also coordinated the rehearsal the day before. Sunday was a warm day, but there was a great breeze that kept everyone cool! This ceremony featured the Seven Blessings. It is customary in Jewish ceremonies to bestow upon the couple seven blessings. I’ve included the blessings below. Color was olive green. All the best Adin & Kimberly! Here are the seven blessings…

May your marriage enrich your lives.

May you work together to build a relationship of substance and quality.

May the honesty of your communication build a foundation of understanding, connection, and trust.

May you respect each other’s individual personality and philosophy, and give each other room to grow and fulfill each other’s dreams.

May your sense of humor and playful spirit enliven your relationship.

May you understand that neither of you is perfect – you are both subject to human frailties, and allow your love to strengthen you when you fall short of each other’s expectations.

And may you be best friends, better together than either of you are apart…

McDonnell Conservation Area, Exeter, NH

Presided over quick elopement ceremonies for two great couples at the Conservation Area on Friday afternoon. The weather was great and, even though the river was high, we were able to find a spot for them to get married on the river’s edge. Best Wishes A & H and C & H!

The Thompson Inn, Durham, NH

Married a great couple here with a Classic Wedding Ceremony on Saturday afternoon in front of about 120 guests. The couple wrote their own vows to each other and also recited traditional vows. The weather was gorgeous. And, speaking of gorgeous, wow… the Inn is a magnificent place for a wedding ceremony and reception! I could go on, but I’ll save the details for an entry on my website. The ceremony site was located in a shady spot under some beautiful trees, and the reception was held in their rustic “Cyderhouse.” The Bride and Groom had 10 attendants. Colors were light blue and green. Best wishes Matt & Lauren!
